About Moldova

Moldova, officially the Republic of Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. The capital city is Chișinău. Moldova is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. It is a member state of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the World Trade Organization (WTO),etc.

Tradition

The culture of the Republic of Moldova represents a large gamut of cultural activities: literature, theatre, music, fine arts, architecture, cinematography, broadcasting and television, photographic art, design, circus, folk art, archives and libraries, books editing, scientific research, cultural tourism and so on. In the Republic of Moldova there are many ethno-cultural associations as there are communities from 1 18 minorities.

Visa information

An eVisa is an authorization to enter Moldova issued in PDF format. An eVisa grants the same right to enter Moldovan territory, as ordinary sticker-visa in the passport. In order to apply for an eVisa, foreign citizens should access the Government web portal  www.evisa.gov.md.  Only short stay visa type C can be obtained online. Applicants for type A, B, D visa should contact one of the diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic of Moldova abroad.

Wine Day

The National Wine Day, the most important holiday promoting our traditions that reached the 16th edition, will take place on October 7-8, in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau. The headline of the event “Keeping the Legend Alive”, calls for discovering the Moldovan Wine Legend and keeping it in harmony with nature. The National Wine Day  will be of an eco-responsible nature, encouraging customers to become friendly not only with the quality wine, that needs to be consumed moderately and consciously, but also with the environment.
